Small Groups at Shepherd

As Christians, we don’t grow alone.

God’s plan for our spiritual growth is that we connect with other believers.

Take advantage of the Small Groups that are available at Shepherd to gather with others for Bible study, prayer and fellowship!

Shepherd of the Hills provides:

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups consist of 3-4 people who work through the book, Discipleship Essentials.  These groups meet for 12-18 months to complete the curriculum. They are intended to lay a strong foundation for faith and leadership.

 Basics of Christianity Class

This class reviews the fundamental beliefs of the Christian faith and how these beliefs impact our lives. Learn about the attributes and character of God, get to know your way around the Bible, find out more about Christian practices like baptism and communion, and gain a deeper understanding of your role and purpose in the church. Offered at various times throughout the year.

Developing Spiritual Disciplines Class

The purpose of this four-week class is to help people develop practices in their lives that will lead them to spiritual maturity. God’s desire for us is to grow in every way to become more and more like Christ. The journey to spiritual maturity starts when you come to faith in Jesus Christ, it continues through the work of the Holy Spirit, and it takes commitment on the part of the believer.  Offered at various times throughout the year.

Journey to the Cross Class

As a spiritual preparation for the celebration of Easter, each year Shepherd presents a three-week class that focuses on the salvation offered to mankind through Jesus Christ. The material in the class is new each year, but always focuses on the cross and the events that occurred when Jesus was crucified. Offered during Lent season.
