Interfaith Senior Programs
CAREGIVER CONNECTION: If you need assistance with caring for a senior family member or friend, there is a wonderful resource for you. Funded by United Way and in collaboration with Interfaith in Waukesha County, the Caregiver Connection can help you. You can contact them at www.whocaresforyou.org or call the Aging & Disability Resource Center at 548-7848.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR A SENIOR: Do you have two to four hours a week to visit with a local senior so their caregiver can take a break? Interfaith Senior Program’s non-medical respite care volunteers offer companionship for those suffering from long-term illness or disability.
No medical or hands-on assistance is required, and training is provided. Currently, volunteers are needed in Waukesha, New Berlin, Oconomowoc and Sussex, but needs arise in other communities frequently. Contact Becky Cooper at Interfaith at 549-3348, ext. 226 or beckyc@interfaithwaueksha.org.
Do you enjoy working with people? Interfaith Senior Programs needs volunteers to visit prospective clients (seniors and adults with disabilities) in their homes to update client information. Hours are flexible. A nursing or social work background is helpful but not necessary. Please contact Nancy Bell at 549-3328, Ext. 224.
